Management and Employee PublicationsWide-range of experience: As a military writer, a corporate writer and freelance/consultant writer, I have acquired extensive experience in writing management and employee publications.
30 Years as a troop leader and corporate manager: In my 20-year military career as a writer/leader (retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel), I have been in dozens of leadership roles -- including combat leadership in Vietnam. In addition, I have written a host of management and employee publications at all levels.
Studied leadership and management: Throughout my military and corporate careers, I have studied leadership and management at the small unit level all the way to the Armed Forces Staff College. I also attended several executive management courses while working at National Steel Corporation. In addition, as a consultant, I have ghostwritten a book on leadership for a founder of a chain of leadership academies.
Types of Publications:
- Quarterly Management bulletins for three corporations:
- A ghostwritten book on leadership;
- Presentations to employees;
- Participative management campaigns; and,
- Chairman and CEO policy statements.
Military: In my military career, I wrote the speeches and a wide variety of first-person position papers and speeches for the Secretary of the Army, the Undersecretary of the Army, the Chief of Staff of the Army and the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army.
Corporate: In my corporate career, I wrote the management bulletins for the chairmen of National Steel, National Intergroup and PNC Financial Corp. In addition, I wrote a wide range of employee presentations for the chairman of First Union Corporation.
Consultant/Freelance: As a consultant, I prepared a major, results-sharing campaign for Sandoz Chemicals and helped design a self-managing, work-team program for the president of National Gypsum Corporation.
